Hello! Welcome to Sunflower Administrative Solutions. My name is Katie LeDoux and I am the president and owner of this unique company based in Omaha, NE. At Sunflower, I provide services to all types of nonprofit organizations, such as yours, in grant research and writing.
I grew up in Saint Louis, MO and spent the first 17 years of my career living and working in Washington, DC. My husband and I moved to Omaha in May 2017 and we are very happy to call this area home now.
During my time in Washington, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects. The first was founding the Clarice Smith Distinguished Artist Lecture Series at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. This involved securing funding from a major donor, arranging for high level speakers from around the country to come to Washington, planning travel, housing, catering and other programmatic support, and designing press and promotional materials.
The second was to plan and execute over 100 public programs for the George Catlin exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery, and drawing the highest ever attendance to Renwick public programs during this wonderful exhibition.
My third example was negotiating, writing and managing hundreds of contracts for the Kennedy Center’s first complete Ring Cycle, a once in a lifetime spectacle operatic performance involving singers, designers, and hundreds more performers and support personnel.
